tbi bank is installing a photovoltaic system at its head office in Sofia. The solar energy generated will help the company power its technical premises and improve its energy efficiency. This is one of the steps the organization has taken to reduce its dependence on traditional energy sources, as well as part of its larger strategic goal of having more sustainable business operations.
Recently, in its offices across the country, tbi bank also introduced the first fully self-service digital stations on the Bulgarian banking market. In order to make automation accessible to customers, the bank is making targeted efforts to automate its internal processes.
For example, in recent years, tbi bank has been actively replacing routine human tasks with hundreds of RPA robots and AI agents, which led to a 75% reduction in document flow by the end of 2024 and the removal of printers in its head office. The bank plans to completely eliminate the use of paper this year, and automation will also cover all its offices in the country – customers will only sign contracts and documents digitally using tablets.
We’re investing in new technologies and ecological energy sources not only because this is the future, but also because it brings real benefits today – more effective cost management, more efficient processes and more satisfied customers. This is not just a response to regulations or following ESG trends, but a long-term commitment, the implementation of which we strive to be a role model,“ stated Nikolay Spasov, CEO of tbi bank.
